good work changes things

It shifts how people see something. It makes someone feel understood, or hopeful, or ready to act.

You're doing that work. But somewhere between what you do and how the world sees it, something gets lost. That's why we started Kindred. We wanted to work directly with the people doing work we believe in, without the overhead, the distance, or the dynamics that get in the way.

We’ll help you express your mission as powerfully as you live it — so you can get back to making a difference.

the women behind kindred

We bring decades of creative and strategic leadership to every engagement. And something harder to come by than experience: perspective that stays fresh.

We're always listening. To clients, to audiences, to what's shifting in culture and in the market. We've built deep relationships across every discipline — and that network means you get the depth of a full-service agency without the overhead that drives up costs and slows down progress.

We bring real creative thinking to every challenge. Not just because we've been doing this forever; because we still love it.

  • kate carpenter

    partner, creative innovator

Kate brings more than two decades of creative leadership to every engagement and a deeply human approach to the work of building brands. She spent years guiding teams and clients at the highest levels of agency leadership — with the kind of steady, empathetic direction that turns good work into lasting work. A respected designer and art director across consumer brands, nonprofit marketing, and virtually every industry, Kate has spent her career doing one thing exceptionally well: getting close enough to truly understand what someone is building, then finding the creative solution nobody saw coming.

She loves to travel with her family, art history and Buffy the vampire slayer.

  • maggie wilhelm

    partner, creative translator

Maggie shapes brands through connection, clarity, and craft. With more than 15 years of creative and art direction expertise across agency and in-house environments, she brings a strategic eye for design and story, guiding ideas from first spark to fully realized systems. Known for sharp creative instincts and thoughtful leadership, Maggie has a rare gift for taking what lives inside an organization — the purpose, the energy, the thing that makes it different — and translating it into work that makes an impact.

Self-proclaimed "mixtress" behind the bar. She lives for Shark Week and her annual crawfish boil—true to her New Orleans roots.
